Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out how you may and may not use the CiteFlow platform. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. You must not
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of UK law or any other applicable law.
- Publish content that is defamatory, harassing, infringing, misleading, fraudulent, or that incites violence or hatred.
- Publish to websites that you do not own or do not have explicit permission to publish to.
- Run spam content farms, low-quality mass publishing, or coordinated link manipulation schemes.
- Generate or publish content that impersonates a person or organisation in a misleading way.
- Use the Service to scrape, index, or crawl any site in breach of that site's robots.txt or terms.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or AI prompts behind the Service, except to the extent permitted by law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages or to harvest contact data.
- Bypass usage limits, rate limits, or any access controls.
2. Robots.txt compliance
Our audit crawler honours robots.txt directives by default. You must not attempt to instruct it to ignore another party's robots.txt.
3. AI-generated content
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing and for ensuring it is accurate, lawful, and free of third-party rights infringement. You confirm that, where content is published to a target site through the Service, you own or are authorised to publish to that site.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate any suspected breach and may, at our discretion, suspend or terminate your account, remove or refuse to publish content, or refuse to provide the Service. We may also report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
5. Reporting abuse
If you believe content published using the Service breaches this AUP, contact us at privacy@citeflow.co.uk.
